  • Samsung’s built-in battery, storage, and memory hub
  • Lives in Settings > Battery and device care
  • Clears cache and junk safely; flags large files

Where to find it

On current One UI versions, open Settings > Battery and device care (sometimes shown as Device care). The screen scores your phone and lets you optimize it, then drill into Battery, Storage, and Memory.

Tapping Storage shows the usage breakdown and suggests cleanup — temporary and cache files, large files, duplicates, and unused apps — with a button to delete each category.

What it cleans

The Storage and Memory tools clear app caches, junk files, and background RAM. Clearing cache here is safe and reversible — apps rebuild what they need. It also flags large media so you can review and delete it yourself.

Device Care is Samsung’s equivalent of Android’s Smart Storage plus a tune-up panel. It handles cache and junk well but does not analyze your photo library for similar shots the way a dedicated cleaner does.
