Does this create one new PDF or many files?
Extract PDF Pages creates one new PDF containing only the pages you selected.
Should I use Split PDF instead?
Use Split PDF when you want multiple outputs or range-based splits. Use Extract PDF Pages for a single PDF of selected pages.
Does this upload my PDF to a server?
No. Extract PDF Pages runs entirely in your browser, so your document is never uploaded.
Is Extract PDF Pages free?
Yes. It is free to use, private, and fully client-side with no sign-up.
Are the extracted pages kept in order?
Yes. The selected pages are saved into the new PDF in their original order.
How do I extract certain pages from a PDF?
Set the page range and export. Those pages are copied into a new PDF in your browser, with the text layer and the quality preserved exactly.
Does extracting pages lose any quality?
No. The pages are copied without re-encoding, so the result is identical to the source pages.
Is extracting a good way to shrink a PDF?
It is the cleanest way there is: you keep only what you need, at full quality, and nothing is compressed or rasterized.
Why did I get the wrong pages?
Almost always a numbering mismatch. A cover page or a roman-numeral preface means the printed page 1 is not PDF page 1.
Should I extract or delete?
Extract when you want a few pages out of many. Deleting 295 pages to keep 5 is the same result reached the long way round.
