FAQ

Common questions

Short answers for the questions people usually have before trying a utility like this.

How do I find all factors of a number?

Test every whole number from 1 up to the square root; each divisor d gives the pair d and n ÷ d. For 360 that is 1 × 360, 2 × 180 … 18 × 20.

How can I tell if a number is prime?

A prime has exactly two factors, 1 and itself. The calculator reports it: 97 is prime, 91 is not (7 × 13).
