How to use Printable Calendar

What the tool does, how to run it, and what to expect from the result.

How to make a printable calendar PDF

The tool builds a print-ready PDF in the browser: you choose the year, the scope, the week start, the paper size, and the orientation, and it draws the grid and downloads the file. There is no template to find and no account to make.

Choose the scope carefully. Full year is 12 separate pages, one per month, while overview is a single sheet with all 12 months as small grids.

  • Enter the year (anything from 1 to 4000).
  • Choose the scope: one month, the full 12-page year, or the one-page overview.
  • Set the week to start on Sunday or Monday.
  • Pick A4 (595x842 pt) or US Letter (612x792 pt), portrait or landscape.
  • Download the PDF and print it at 100 percent, not Fit to Page.

A calendar you can print in seconds

Most calendar downloads mean hunting for a template, opening a design app, or handing your details to a sign-up form. This does the opposite: pick a year and a layout, and a clean, print-ready PDF is built right in your browser.

The grid is intentionally blank and roomy, so it works for planning, chores, habit tracking, shift schedules, or anything you would normally scribble on a wall calendar.

  • Single month, all twelve months, or a one-page year overview
  • Start the week on Sunday or Monday
  • A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape
  • Any year, past or future

Private by default

The PDF is generated on your device, so nothing is uploaded and there is no account to create. That keeps it fast and keeps whatever you plan on it to yourself.

Tips

Getting a better result out of Printable Calendar

Specific settings and thresholds, not general advice.

  • Full year mode produces a 12 page PDF, one month per page. Overview mode produces a single page with 12 mini months. If you meant to pin one sheet to the wall, choose overview, not full year, or you will print 12 sheets.
  • US Letter is 612x792 points and A4 is 595.28x841.89 points. A4 is 20 mm taller and 6 mm narrower, so a calendar laid out for one and printed on the other will either lose an edge or leave a band of white unless you print at 100 percent.
  • The week start actually changes the grid, not only the header row. Monday start shifts every date cell, which is what you want for most of Europe and for anyone whose working week does not begin on Sunday.
  • The grid is deliberately blank: no holidays, no week numbers, no moon phases, no pre-printed events. If you need public holidays marked, this is the wrong tool and you should start from a calendar app export.
  • Landscape orientation gives each day cell a wider box on the same paper, which is the better choice when the calendar is a planner people write in rather than a reference people read.
Limits

What Printable Calendar does not do

The honest boundary, so you do not lose time finding it yourself.

  • No holidays, week numbers, or events. The grid is blank by design.
  • English month and weekday labels only. There is no localisation.
  • No ICS import and no way to pre-fill dates from a calendar account.
  • Output is PDF only, at A4 or US Letter. There is no PNG or image export.

FAQ

Common questions

Short answers for the questions people usually have before trying a utility like this.

Is this printable calendar free?

Yes. You can generate and download as many calendar PDFs as you like, for any year, at no cost and without signing up.

Can I make a calendar for any year?

Yes. Enter any year and the calendar is calculated correctly, including leap years, for a single month, the full year, or a one-page overview.

Can I start the week on Monday?

Yes. You can choose whether each week starts on Sunday or Monday, and pick A4 or US Letter paper in portrait or landscape.

Are my details uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is built entirely in your browser, so nothing is sent to a server and there is no sign-up.

What are the layout options?

A single month on one page, the full year as 12 pages (one month each), or a one-page overview with all 12 months as mini grids. Pick overview if you want a single sheet on the wall.

Does it mark public holidays?

No. The grid is intentionally blank so it works as a planner in any country. Holidays vary by nation and region, and a wrong holiday on a printed calendar is worse than none.

Will it print at the right size?

Yes, provided you set the print dialog to 100 percent or Actual Size rather than Fit to Page. Fit to Page scales the sheet down by a few percent to allow for printer margins, which shrinks the grid.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The PDF is written in your browser with pdf-lib and downloaded straight to your device, so nothing you plan on it is ever sent anywhere.
