App Library
Also known as: iPhone App Library, app drawer iPhone, find hidden apps
App Library is the auto-organized screen at the end of your Home Screen pages that holds every installed app in category folders. It is purely an organizer — apps there take the same storage whether or not they also sit on a Home Screen page.
- Auto-sorts every installed app into category folders
- Hiding an app from the Home Screen does not free space
- App sizes are shown in Settings > General > iPhone Storage
What App Library does
Swipe past your last Home Screen page to reach App Library, where iOS sorts every app into automatic categories like Social, Productivity, and Recently Added. It lets you keep a clean Home Screen while still reaching any app through search or its category folder.
Removing an app from the Home Screen does not uninstall it; the app stays in App Library and keeps using storage. To actually free space you must offload or delete the app, not just hide it.
Finding storage-heavy apps
App Library shows what you have installed, but to see size you go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, which lists apps by how much space they use. From there you can offload big apps you rarely open while keeping their data.
