Body surface area is used to dose chemotherapy and some other drugs, and to index cardiac output. Mosteller, the most common: BSA = √(height cm × weight kg ÷ 3600). For 175 cm and 70 kg that is √(12,250 ÷ 3600) = 1.845 m². DuBois (1916) and Haycock (used in children) give 1.848 and 1.847 m² for the same person.
