About this army body fat calculator

Since 2023 the Army measures a single site, the abdomen at the navel, plus weight. Men: body fat % = −26.97 − 0.12 × weight (lb) + 1.99 × abdomen (in). Women: −9.15 − 0.015 × weight + 1.27 × abdomen. A 180 lb man with a 36 in abdomen: −26.97 − 21.6 + 71.64 = 23.1%. Maximum allowed body fat depends on age and sex (AR 600-9).
