About this m4a to wav converter
M4A is AAC audio in an MP4 container, the default for iPhone recordings, iTunes and Apple Music downloads. WAV is uncompressed PCM audio: large files, no quality loss, and accepted by every editor and DAW. The conversion runs in your browser with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device and there is no size limit beyond your memory. WAV is lossless, so the result sounds exactly like the M4A, no better: quality lost when the M4A was made cannot come back. Use WAV when an editor or device needs it.
