About this wav to flac converter
WAV is uncompressed PCM audio: large files, no quality loss, and accepted by every editor and DAW. FLAC is lossless compression: the exact audio of a WAV in roughly half the space, favoured for archiving and hi-fi. The conversion runs in your browser with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device and there is no size limit beyond your memory. Both formats are lossless, so the audio is bit-for-bit the same; only the container and file size change.
