Can I still change the format here?
Yes. The page starts with eBay-oriented defaults, but the same format and compression controls stay available in the main tool UI.
Does this work only for eBay?
No. The engine is the same root product prep utility, so it can still be used for other marketplace tasks after the default setup loads.
Is export local?
Yes. The preview and export stay in the browser, and the saved file is rebuilt from canvas so common metadata is stripped on save.
What size should eBay photos be?
At least 500 pixels on the longest side is the hard minimum, and eBay recommends 1600 pixels so buyers can use zoom and enlarge. The square preset here exports 1600 x 1600.
Are watermarks allowed on eBay photos?
Only for ownership or photo credit. eBay's picture policy prohibits watermarks or text that add promotional content, a website, a price, contact information or a call to action. Borders and added artwork are also not allowed.
How many photos can I add to an eBay listing?
Up to 24 per listing at no extra cost. Sellers who show flaws, serial numbers, accessories and packaging see fewer not-as-described disputes, so there is a real reason to use the slots.
Does eBay require a white background?
It does not require one the way Amazon does, but it strongly recommends a plain, uncluttered background and it uses a white background for the gallery. A clean backdrop also makes the square gallery crop more forgiving.
Why is my main photo cropped in eBay search?
The search gallery uses a square thumbnail. If your product touches the edges of a non-square photo, the square crop clips it. Keep the item inside the safe-area guide with visible margin.
