About this scroll wheel test
Scroll inside the box: every tick is counted, up and down, plus left and right tilt on wheels that support it. When a scroll in one direction produces a tick the other way within 120 ms, it is counted as a wrong-direction tick. A few can come from your finger; a steady stream while scrolling one way means the encoder is dirty or worn, the usual cause of a page that jumps back while you scroll.
